30th Anniversary

BYAP hosted a month-long programme of events in March 2011 to mark our 30th anniversary.

The events began on Friday, 11th March, when President Mary McAleese visited the Horizons Centre to formally launch the celebrations.  On the same date, a rose-planting ceremony took place in the Centre to commemorate those with links to BYAP who died over the past 30 years.  The ‘BYAP 30 Years’ art exhibition was also launched on 11th March, and ran until the end of the month.

A national conference took place on Wednesday, 23rd March, at Dublin Castle.  The programme of anniversary events came to a close on Saturday, 26th March, when a festival for all of the community was held at the plaza in Ballymun.
